Duty of loyalty to the employer—what does that mean?

the signs of dishonesty:

  • You must not work for or assist competitors; if you are a sales representative for Brand Y, you must not sell Brand X's services to your customers.
  • You must not share or disclose strategic information about your company. For example: the new product design set to launch in three months must not appear on your Instagram account before the official launch date…
  • You are prohibited from competing with your employer by starting your own business and then soliciting the same clients… while you are still under contract!
  • Working for yourself during your work hours—even if you do not intend to compete with your employer—can sometimes be considered a form of disloyalty.
